Nosferatu is a British Gothic rock band, formed during 1988 based in United Kingdom. The band was founded by Damien De Ville, Sapphire Aurora and Vlad Janicek.
The current band members are: Louis De Wray (vocals), Nevyn (Bass guitar), Belle (drums), 6 (rhythm guitar), Damien De Ville (lead guitar) and Chrys Columbine (piano, Keyboard, vocal).
The band gave their first live debut on 5 th October 1988, at London’s Rock Garden, which wasn’t successful. The band signed with Taylor Victor for his agency and booked a few concerts too. The band recorded their debut EP titled “The Hellhound” which received good reviews from NME magazine and was better in sales. The band followed it up with “Vampyre Cry” and “Diva”.
The band signed a deal with Cleopatra Records for their debut album titled “Rise”. The debut album was released during 1993, which became the band’s most successful album over 22,000 copies sold world wide. The band released their next single “Savage Kiss” which was charted at #16 on UK Independent Chart.
The band’s next album “The Prophecy” was peaked at #14 on UK Independent Chart. The single “Requiem” was played five times successively during evenings on Radio One.
The band’s later releases were: Prince of Darkness (1996), Lord of the Flies (1998), Re Vamped (1999), Reflections (2000), The Best of Nosferatu (2001), Visionary Vampyres DVD (2005) and Anthology (2006).
The band has performed in concerts in several countries including England, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Wales, Greece and Scotland
